The book I'm tucking into friends' stockings this year? by Michele Bernhardt. While I tend to be someone who doesn't really buy into astrology, other than the occasional curious glance now and then, I do think it's fun to read little snippets of wisdom about ourselves from unlikely places. And that's why, when I saw this book at a store in Seattle recently, I bought it on the spot, then immediately flipped to my birthday's page to see my color and reading. Here's what I learned:

I'm born on Feburary 18, and my birthday color is Pantone #16-2107, aka "Orchid Haze." People born on this day are called "charismatic, intelligent and principled," according to the book, and "want to do the right thing and believe in being conscious about what they say and do. ... Also, "[they] feel empowered when [they] care for their body in a disciplined and loving manner." Love this!

The book was created using a mix of astrology, numerology and the "metaphysical power of color," says the book's jacket, but I think it's just fun to flip through, whether you believe in any of that stuff or not.

When's your birthday?

P.S. Guess . And,
